How to request deletion
To have your data deleted from Nowtek systems, email info@nowtek.co.za with the subject "Data deletion request" and the phone number or email linked to your account.
We will confirm within 7 days and delete all personal data within 30 days.
We may ask you to prove who you are before we delete anything, so that nobody else can delete your data.
What gets deleted
- Your contact details, messages and account data in Nowtek systems.
- Your data in any app Nowtek runs for a client, where Nowtek is the operator of that data.
- WhatsApp message history held by Nowtek for a client app.
Where the law requires us to keep a record, for example invoices for tax purposes, we keep only that record and only for as long as the law requires.
Facebook and WhatsApp
If you connected to a Nowtek app through Facebook Login or WhatsApp, the same request removes the data we received from Meta. You can also remove Nowtek from your Facebook account under Settings, Apps and Websites.
